A visa or passport is required when traveling out of the country.

When planning a cruise; albeit a passport is not needed for most cruises it is advised to have a passport for identification, in case of you must leave the ship at a port and /or fly back to your home country for emergency reasons.

Visa cards and other credit cards although you can get replacements if you lose them often take more time to replace. 

Plan ahead and exchange some of your currency before you leave on our trip.

Some countries have difficulty changing currency past business hours.

Go to one of the larger banks to get your money converted to the foreign currency.

Then, when you land for your vacation, that is one less thing you have to worry about.

 

If you book your own seat, you should be more comfortable.  

When traveling on a budget be sure there is no extra charge for changing seats or upgrades. 

Booking early or long before your trip will often give you the opportunity to choose better seat suited for you. 

Once you have paid for your tickets, continue to revisit your booking site until this option becomes available.
