5 Tips To Avoid Food Poising While Traveling Outside of The Country

MosesTravelSite2

I love going on vacation and eating food from different cultures.

Many foreign countries lack the regulations which enforce a good health code when it comes to food service.

To help to avoid getting food poising here are five tips to remember:

1.  Eat at well known or highly ranked restaurants.   Eat at tourist attraction designated eateries.

2.  Stick to foods that are well cooked, avoid raw sea foods and dairy foods.  Drink only bottle water and avoid putting ice in your drinks.  (Ships and cruises are generally the exception for eating and are generally safe because they uphold to food health codes)

3.  Avoid local vendors who may not be practicing food safety codes.  Look around and see where they are washing their hands or sanitizing food utensils.   Be wise!  Don’t take chances while out of the country if you are not familiar or have friends, family or associates who can tell you about the food serving in the area.

4.  Practice cleanliness by washing your hands before you eat.

5.  Eating small portions of food helps if you have ingested something that is not good for your system; It is less for your body to fight off in case of poisoning.

Enjoy your vacation and have fun.  These are just a few tips to help you have a wonderful and keep you althy trip.
